A bag for nursery

Hooray! I made something new! I have been wanting to make M a bag for his bits and pieces for when he goes to nursery. Prior to last night we had been using a very unappealling drawstring canvas bag. Now we have a delicious bag made from a pattern in Amy Karol's Bend-the-rules sewing, and with the boaty fabric from Cotton and Cloud.

I can't tell you how pleased I am. I made it last night. It took me about 4 hours and the finish is surprisingly good. I am so inspired that I have spent a bomb today on fabric and on a new book!

We are off camping this evening, so fingers crossed that it doesn't rain all weekend!

Hello!

I love the bag you made! So happy that the fabric went to a very good hand. Very nice the way you have put the initial in front.
Hope you have a great time camping!

Lovely bag! So, did it rain?

No, it didn't rain! Well, maybe just a few spots, but it was a smashing weekend. I even wished I had packed my sun hat (I didn't!).
